There are two types of vehicles permitted on safari in Ranthambore National Park; the Jeep (also known as a Gypsy), and the Canter. The Jeep seats six passengers and these six seats are allocated by the government of Rajasthan, who operate the park.
The Jeep is the vehicle of choice for most visitors to the national park, as its smaller size offers a more intimate experience and allows you to zip around the park with more agility, reaching nooks and crannies you may not otherwise be able to in the larger canter.
Each Jeep seats six passengers. By opting for a shared Jeep, your vehicle may be occupied by other guests as well. If, for example, you’re a couple, the vehicle may be shared with up to four more visitors. A shared Jeep safari is ideal for those who’d like to be cost-efficient, or indeed those who enjoy meeting new people.
A shared Jeep safari in Ranthambore can be reserved for the morning and/or evening slot, on one or more days of your choice, subject to availability. Please contact us today to let us know what your plans are so far, how many safaris you’d like to reserve and on which days.
The cost of ₹3100 is per person, per shared Jeep safari. It is valid until the 30th June 2019.
